Finishing a course

A course is finished when every lesson in it is complete. Not every lesson has something to submit — a video or a reading completes once you have been through it — so finishing is a matter of working through the whole outline rather than of passing a final test.

How to tell

Your progress reaches 100% and every row in the outline carries a tick. If it is short of 100%, the outline shows which lessons are not ticked.

Two reasons it says you are not finished

Something is still waiting to be graded

A written answer you submitted has not been read yet. You have done your part; it completes when somebody marks it.

Part of the course has not opened

On a course that releases over time, you cannot finish before the last module arrives. If you have done everything available you will see You’re up to date — see A course that opens in stages.

Afterwards

The course stays in My Courses and stays open to you. You can re-read any lesson as often as you like; going back over something does not undo your progress.

What you cannot usually do is answer a question again. Most questions allow one attempt, and re-reading the lesson does not reset it. If you need another go, ask whoever runs the course.

Certificates

Grapevine does not issue certificates. If your organisation gives one, it is something they produce from your results rather than something the site generates — ask them what they need from you.
