Your currency
Your site has one currency. Every price on it — course prices, invitation prices — is in that currency.
It is in Site Admin, beside the other payment settings.
Set it first
Changing the currency changes the unit, not the numbers. A course priced at 95 becomes 95 of the new currency. Nothing is converted, because there is no exchange rate involved — the figure you typed is the figure that stays.
So set it when the site is new, before anything has a price. Changing it later means visiting every course and every invitation to check the numbers still mean what you intended.
One currency, not several
You cannot price one course in dollars and another in euros. If you genuinely need to sell in two currencies, that is two sites.
For most organisations this is not a limitation: your Stripe account settles in one currency anyway, and quoting in a currency you do not bank in moves the exchange problem onto the buyer’s card rather than solving it.
What it affects
- Prices shown on course pages.
- Prices on invitation purchase pages.
- What is actually charged to a learner’s card.
What it does not affect
What Grapevine charges you. That is billed separately and independently of what your site quotes to its learners — see Your card, and what you are charged for.
If prices already exist
Change the currency, then go through every priced course and every live invitation and confirm the number. It is a short list on most sites, and it is much shorter than the conversation that follows selling a course for 95 of the wrong thing.
